Mainly, iClean performs the same duty as the Microsoft Configuration Utility (MSCONFIG) on your computer, but in this case it repairs, kills or eliminates processes, services, registry keys and allows you to upload other file configurations. It was designed to restore a system after it has been infected with spyware or other type of malware, and is even able to detect some rootkits.
The program is very simple: it just kills the process/service that you confirm as malware or other files that could be attempting to damage your system. To perform this you will need some technical knowledge about which files you can delete and which files you cannot. In case you delete or eliminate the wrong files or services, you will be affecting other stuff required by your system.
The software doesn’t require installation, you just need to download the .exe file and that’s it. It works on all Windows systems from 98 to Windows 7 (I already tested it and worked fine). If you don’t like to use MSCONFIG and you prefer to use a different tool, this could be a good option. But there certainly are more programs that offer the same options and even more. You are to evaluate the options.
